We have finally fixed the crafting bugs related to 1.5, we are also working on moving the walls to the minecade lobby and planning a TON of new additions to come including The Walls 3 update with Hypixel that will be coming in the next months! Hey Minecade!

Today we are officially launching Minecade PRO! Minecade PRO is a subscription that brings you all the unlimited access to all our Minecade PvP Games, meaning that you get access to stuff like Walls PRO, SCB VIP, Access to our newest game: YOLO and More! Keep in mind we will be adding more and more stuff as we grow and we definitely recommend it if you are a hardcore PVP'er. Minecade will continue to expand which means PRO users will get more benefits as well.

I encourage everyone to give it a try and we are still working with Enjin to roll out the Minecade PRO across all sites forum tags, but for now, Minecade PRO will propagate in all our games correctly.

UPDATE 3: Servers back in the previous system \o/.

Recently, we updated The Walls to use the new Lobby which uses the popular Bungee Cord software which allows users to hop from server to server along with a plethora of benefits that are really handy. Unfortunately, we ran into some issues caused by Bungee that was making it use 800% of the CPU that we dedicated to the lobby (Dual Hex 3.2GHz Proc.) which are decent specs to run it on.

The good news is we have chatted with md_5 (Creator of Bungee) and he has helped us approach some fixes. Hopefully all the latency, delay and lagg is resolved by now but we still have a crash issue where Bungee randomly stops accepting connections. This should be fixed by tomorrow and please thank MBaxter for being so dedicated to making sure you guys can actually play as it is very complicated running 60 servers with Bungee, we actually had to edit it to become compatible with some of our stuff.

The Walls Client!

Another staff member you must thank is Glenn! He once again outdid himself with the new Walls Client V2, which includes the ability to pre choose kits, built in compass GUI, cleaner HUD, it even tells you what you can craft with the amount of iron you mine! I heavily recommend it to all the players to enhance their Walls experience.

The Walls lobby is something that has been in the talks for several weeks now and its something that we have been working on in looks of increasing overal players online and community growth. It will also offer other benefits to the players.

What are some of the changes the lobby will bring ?

After the update, every time a game ends the players will be taken to the Walls lobby. Here you can either wait for the server you where in to restart, or join one of the three portals that mimic the three open servers you see in our homepage. Players can also join individual servers via commands or play some parkour in the awesome world!

You can join servers inside the lobby with /server # as well.

We also removed zombies from spawning in the abandoned mineshaft, fixed some exploits found in some of the kits and added a biome rotating functionality to add more biomes in the next update!

Introducing the Walls Mod!

Master GM Glenn has developed a client mod that you can download for free that has a plethora of utilities when you are playing on our Walls servers. Some of these features include: Quick joining open servers, HUD with stats, time left until walls drop, kills, coordinates and a ton of nifty tools that make this mod awesome.

Update 2:

I noticed some of you were confused with the event. Firstly, as soon as we opened the servers, we got over 10,000 joins in a matter of a few seconds. Mojang's auth servers blacklisted the ip and we had to strategically move the event to another server.

The YouTubers were not pleased with the amount of spam that was involved and if we do another game it will probably consist of less players.

Lately, we have been developing non stop trying to approach some of the issues the users are reporting, and to overall enhance The Walls as much as possible! This week we will be releasing yet another update!

The next update will address some of the bugs such as hits not registering at times, or the center explosion not updating the exploded blocks when the player does not see the BOOM. The most noticeable feature we will be adding is Walls lobbies. We will be adding a map lobby per server that will function as a player queu system.

What are the benefits of this 'Lobby' ?

Well, the players will not be kicked out of the server when a game ends, instead they will be taken to the lobby map while the next game is being set up and the terrain generated, we are basically pushing the terrain generation to an external application. Also, players who do not have VIP status will be taken to the lobby map rather than being placed in the glass surface on the same map. The lobby map will feature exciting easter eggs and a hard to complete parkour!

Lastly, we want to feature a new Walls Kit gameplay done by ZackScott featuring our very own Pablo who will explain some of the kits during the battle. Please watch it as it features most of the PRO Kits we offer. Enjoy!

Lately we have been really hard at work with new additions, going through suggestions and reading the feedback you guys leave in the forum. Just like we went ahead and implemented GM's, map updates, more traps, we went ahead and implemented kits. PLEASE leave a comment, we will read them and take them into consideration :)

                                Walls PRO Rank

The Walls PRO is an amazing package that includes all the kits in The Walls, VIP Status and some other additions we are working on to make PRO even more awesome! Pro is a one time payment of 50 USD and it really helps us and supports us. Pro users also get a cool exclusive tag in the forums and in - game!

What are Kits ?

Kits are small packages you can choose during the game some give you items with special abilities and some give you buffs. Although most of them are freely included, we also offer premium kits. It was a really hard challenge to make these kits as it is not easy to have balanced additions, several youtubers and players with high stats were involved in their approval process.

We are still working on the kits information page to help you understand kits, I will update this post when that page is complete. We will also be adding player PvP statistics to profiles and a list of the most recent games with the server, the winners, the teams in a professional page to be announced soon as well.

The Vote Kit

There is one kit amongst the premium kits that you can get for free by Voting for us. Voting consists of you going to a topsite link that you will see being announced in the servers, once you click it it will take you to a page that allows you to choose us as your favorite community which helps us grow, and in return we give you the secretly awesome Voter kit for 24 hours (You can vote again for the kit after those 24 hours) You may have also seen a Vote Kit announcement in the servers before this post, the Vote Kit will be functional at the time of this post!

These are just a few of the plans we have thought out for the walls and remember that its thanks to you guys that we can achieve what we are doing, keep up the support!

On another note, the Master GM Rank has been added, Master GM's can approve or deny GM applications and Master GM's are specifically chosen by the Walls administration.

PeteZahHutt and JeromeASF once again killed it with their new Walls series, I suggest watching this video as they implement some very good PvP strategies as Pete is a top walls player who has been up in the leaderboards for a while since walls was still in its development stages!

We also did a massive overhaul to the Minecade site and added an About page that explains some good information on Minecade and how we started, a new Minecade Partner page to become a Media partner, an Affiliate page to have your community in Minecade and a Jobs page to work on the Minecade games development!

Hey LC!

First off, we wish you've had an awesome holiday and wish you all a happy new year! 

This 2013 will be packed with exciting updates to both The Walls and all the other Minecade games! Currently on our to do list we have the following changes to be made:

• Kits! Free ones and some pro kits as well! 

• Kits will not be overpowered and will be VERY balanced/simple.

• Voter Kit! Get a 24 hour long kit when you vote for walls!

• Center explosion bug fix.

• Stability improvements.

• New Minecade integration features.

• [WIP] Map pool to push in different walls maps!

• Server wide announcements.

• Stats additions and fixing.

We also have decided to extend the VIP promotion further due to the huge success walls has been going through! We will be posting updates as we have them and we thank you for making this community epic!

We have been working hard on Walls and have been pushing updates constantly, we have re skinned the site making it look cleaner and more professional as well as making it more pleasant for the eyes.

We will be pushing server updates throughout the weekend which will include Kits, better GM system and updated GM functionalities, a bans web panel, a new map and a TON of new stuff we are excited to show you guys.

We have also been working and partnering with a lot of cool people to bring you more minecade games, one of which will probably be the most revolutionary minecraft game yet, more info to be released soon enough!

Hey LC!

UPDATE 3: Working on finalizing Update phase 1, want to know whats coming to the walls ? Read HERE

UPDATE 2: We have released servers 41 - 60 in order to accomodate all the new players :) these servers are stronger and are proudly hosted over at NitroServ who deliver rock solid servers. We will release team killing solutions, weather disabling, furnace and chest protection, forest fire nerfing solutions tonight hopefully and the rest of the updates very soon. These include surface structure generation, GM status, and a lot more features!

UPDATE: Servers have been upgraded to be faster and smoother, if you cannot see the serverlist its because your DNS has not updated yet, give it a bit or flush your DNS to see and connect to them.

We will be performing some exciting updates to all the minecraft the walls servers, these will consist of the following:

- Map Update! Yes, a new map is being born and being built by the 

   Amazing @BlockFortress ! it will include a few new features!

- GM applications! Yup, you can now get involved and be a

   moderator to administrate the servers, this system is still being

   worked on but it will be released very soon!

- Unban pass! You will be able to purchase a ban pass ($7) to get

  unbanned after being banned, this will be released upon the GM 

  update as well.

- Fire nerf! Fire will be nerfed to prevent the servers lagging out due

   to the massive Jungle biome being set on fire!

ETA for all features to be running is 1 week. Do not forget about the spectacular VIP holiday promotion to get VIP access to the hottest servers in minecraft!

MineCon was very cool, the second day was even better, we did a lot of PvP events at the booth and ran some competitions with Vareide, SethBling, Caveman and a few other cool people. It was unarguably the best booth in the show!
